Minnesota had a six-game win streak snapped in a 4-2 10-inning loss to Detroit on Wednesday and now the Royals will try to end a skid after having the day off. Kansas City is out to avenge a three-game sweep by the Twins last weekend and Daniel Lynch gets the call tonight and current Minnesota batters are 13-for-49 with one home run against him. Lynch has faced Minnesota twice this year and given up four runs in 8 2/3 innings with no homers. Overall, the left-hander has pitched better on the road where he owns a 3.60 ERA in four starts and that was true in 2021 also. The Royals already got a look at Devin Smeltzer on Friday when he pitched five innings and allowed a run on five hits. Kansas City is 7-1 after a off day and getting great line value in this matchup.
