Houston at Texas

The Texas Rangers have had a nightmare season as they have dealt with more injuries than just about any other team, and it completely depleted their pitching rotation. Thet have gotten a comforting welcome back from Derek Holland who had not pitched for nearly a year. And in the four starts he has made since returning to the rotation, he has been great. Holland has worked 27.1 innings, allowing just three runs, and pitching to a microscopic 0.99 ERA. The Rangers have missed Holland who is now 42-19 in his last 61 starts as a favorite and owns a 5-1 record vs. Houston in his last six starts against them. Houston has been crushed by a starter with a WHIP of less than 1.15 where they are a woeful 38-94 in their last 132 against them. Houston has never fared well against their instate rival as they have posted an 18-41 mark in their last 59 against them. Play on Texas.
