He also permitted six earned runs during his first start this month. So altogether, deGrom has a 6.23 May ERA in four starts. Career-wise against the Astros, deGrom is 1-3 with a 4.15 ERA. Houston starter Mike Burrows has been a major disappointment with a 2-6 record and 5.75 ERA, but the Astros are not the team laying a big number. So the value is on them. The Astros have been better lately, winning five of their last seven games. Yordan Alvarez is off a two home run game against the Rangers last night. Alvarez is third in the majors in homers with 18. The Rangers are 1-4 in their last five games. Prior to scoring 10 runs last night, the Rangers had managed only three runs during their previous three games. Take the Astros.
