Houston at Philadelphia

The Astros and Phillies series was bumped a day after inclement weather in Philadelphia last night, and with the extra rest, the home side has adjusted its rotation. Lefthander Ranger Suárez will now start Game 3, with Game 1 starter Aaron Nola slotted back in for Game 4 on Wednesday. Game 3's original starter, Noah Syndergaard, will be available out of the bullpen but he is in the mix to start Game 5. Lance McCullers, Jr. is on the hill for Houston and I still like this spot for the visitor. Philadelphia hitters are batting just .214 with one home run in 56 at-bats against the righty, and with the run support his team is providing, this is a good opportunity for him to log some innings before handing off to a pen whose season-long ERA is 2.64 (0.89 ERA in the playoffs). The Astros are 69-28 with extra rest since 2019, 50-22 vs. winning teams this season, and they have won five of their past seven World Series road games. Take the Astros.
