Houston at Oakland

The Oakland A's are a small market team that does a very good job developing homegrown talent. This does not look like one of those years for the A's. They are just 20-32 and are not playing well as they have posted a 3-8 mark over their last 11 games. The current homestand shows them at just 1-5 where they have been out-scored 36-18. Houston made it to the World Series a year ago, and at 32-18, they have the talent to find their way back. They have won three straight and will look for the sweep this afternoon vs the A's. I like their chances behind Justin Verlander who is having a great start to 2022 and owns an 18-7 career mark vs the A's backed by a 2.34 ERA. Make the play on Houston.
