Houston at New York

Houston appears to have too much talent for the Yankees to overcome as the Astros are on the verge of going to the World Series for the second time in three years following Thursday's 8-3 win. George Springer and Carlos Correa each hit three-run homers and the Astros used six pitchers in getting out of some clutch situations. Now the Yankees have to face Justin Verlander, who was their nemesis in the 2017 playoffs. Verlander did not get the decision, but the Astros beat New York 3-2 in Game 2 of this series when he allowed two runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings and he'll be pitching on regular rest. James Paxton has pitched twice in the postseason and given up four runs on nine hits in seven innings. Houston is 36-15 in Verlander's last 51 starts and 30-9 his last 39 road starts and they have won Verlander's last four starts against the Yankees. Take the Astros.
