Detroit at Washington

This is Game 2 of a doubleheader that was scheduled due to last night's postponement. Detroit has won five of seven and has a commanding lead in the AL Central, while Washington is last in its division and the Nationals are just 16-24 at home this season. Jack Flaherty had a couple rough outings, but he came back and allowed only three runs on five hits in five innings against the Athletics last Wednesday. Washington has lost MacKenzie Gore's past four starts although he pitched well in three of them. The Tigers have won four straight road games versus left-handed starters, and five of six interleague games against teams with losing records. The Nationals have lost eight of nine home contests and 15 of their past 20 games overall. Take the Tigers.
