Detroit at New York

The New York Yankees have a patchwork rotation, but have gotten some great mileage out of Brandon McCarthy as he is 4-0 as a Yankee after winning last night. The lone starter from the beginning of the season, that is not on the shelf, is tonight's starter Hiroki Kuroda. Kuroda has been pedestrian with an ERA hovering around the 4 mark most of the season. Detroit will go with newly acquired ace David Price. Price has surely been a Yankee killer, pitching on a team that was not the caliber of this Yankees team most of the time in Tampa Bay, but owns a 15-8 mark against them. He now has an elite team, with an elite offense with him in Detroit. One would think that the Yankees would excel in the Bronx as a home dog, but that has simply not been the case at 3-13 in their last 16 as a home dog. Take the Tigers.
