The Twins beat Tarik Skubal and the Tigers, 4-2, as $1.44 home underdogs last night. Minnesota got to Skubal for four runs on eight hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. It was only the third time in his last 62 starts that Skubal, the two-time defending AL Cy Young Award winner, had failed to complete five innings. Now the Twins draw another tough Detroit starter in Framber Valdez as a mid-sized home underdog. But Detroit is 2-7 in its last nine games and has lost three in a row. Minnesota starter Bailey Ober is off to a slow start with a 6.75 ERA. The Tigers, though, have mediocre offensive numbers and rank third from the bottom in homers. The Twins have won the first two games of this series by a combined six runs. They are worth riding at this price. Take the Twins.
