Sanchez has faced the Royals twice, allowing 1 run on 10 hits in 16 innings of work.  Ervin Santana was pitching well, but his last outing was an 8-run uprising vs. the light-hitting Yankees. Prince Fielder has really hurt him as he is 6-10 with 3 HRs in his career facing Santana. The Tigers have been ultra productive vs. right-handed pitching at 7-1 in their last eight, while the Royals stand in at just 4-9 in Santana's last 13 starts.
