Detroit at Baltimore

Detroit solidified its hold on last place in the AL Central losing its sixth game in its last seven, 11-5 against the White Sox on Sunday. Now the Tigers travel to Baltimore with a 24-46 road record and the Orioles still are battling for a playoff spot following a 5-4 victory over Toronto yesterday. Adley Rutschman hit a go-ahead two-run single as Baltimore rallied for three runs in the ninth. Tyler Wells pitched four innings against Washington on Wednesday and gave up two runs on two hits as the Orioles won 4-2. Detroit starter Tyler Alexander has been lit up to the tune of 20 runs on 28 hits his last four outings and the Tigers lost all of them. Alexander has a hefty 7.30 ERA on the road with a 1-7 record and .329 opponent batting average. The Orioles have won eight of 10 home games versus southpaw starters and Detroit has lost 20 of 28 against AL East teams. Play the Orioles.
