Colorado at Miami

Colorado is determined to get off to a better start than last year's horrible beginning, and the Rockies came close on Friday before losing 2-1 to the Marlins. The bright side for the Rockies is that they got a good pitching performance from their bullpen, as it allowed no runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings, and the game was an easy UNDER. Michael Lorenzen is on his seventh team, but overall, he has been a dependable pitcher, though not outstanding in any respect. Only three Miami hitters have ever faced him for a total of six at-bats. Eury Perez had a rough second half of the season in 2025, with an August ERA of 5.60 and 4.88 in September for the Marlins, although he did throw five shutout innings in his only appearance against Colorado.
