It appears Colorado will avoid finishing with the worst modern-day win-loss record, but that's the only good thing to say about the Rockies, who are 17-50 on the road. They have lost five of six following Wednesday's 4-0 defeat against the Astros, who are in first place by 1 1/2 games in the AL Central. Houston is 12-1 in its past 13 home games against Colorado and 12-3 overall in the past 15 meetings. The Astros have won 11 of their last 14 games against National League teams, and they have won four of their past six overall. Kyle Freeland gave up five runs on seven hits in five innings in his last outing against Pittsburgh to raise his ERA to 5.13. The Rockies have lost 17 of their 24 starts in 2025.
