Arizona's decision to install a humidor for its home games backfired as the Diamondbacks are all but out of the playoff picture largely due to decreased hitting compared to last year. The Diamondbacks have lost 20 of their last 28 games, and they are 1-6 their last seven home contests. Also, Arizona is 4-11 its last 15 home games against left-handed starters and 22-46 their last 68 overall versus teams with winning records. Kyle Freeland has a 2.95 ERA, which is exceptional considering his home park is Coors Field. The Rockies have won eight of his last nine starts, and the one loss came on Tuesday when he allowed only two runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings against the Dodgers. Zack Godley has struggled mightily since mid-August, and the Diamondbacks have lost five of his last six starts. Godley faced the Rockies on Sept. 10 and gave up five runs on seven hits in just four innings. Play the Rockies.
