Cleveland came in with one of the better records in the AL Central and has been a legitimate contender all spring. Tonight, the Guardians send Joey Cantillo to the Bronx, and his road splits are the entry point — Cantillo's surface ERA away from home looks passable, but the underlying metrics that filter out luck and sequencing put him much closer to four and a half when pitching on the road. The Yankees counter with Cam Schlittler, arguably the best story in the New York rotation this season: he has not allowed more than two earned runs in 10 of his 12 starts and averages nearly seven strikeouts per outing. New York's power lineup against a road left-hander with real underlying vulnerability is the setup the Yankees were built for. Schlittler controls the game, the offense does its job, and New York covers the run line tonight. Take the Yankees on the runline.
