Cleveland at Detroit

Detroit has shown signs of life after a 2-9 start and the Tigers have won three in a row and tonight's starter, Matthew Boyd, has allowed four runs in nine innings in two appearances. Cleveland will go with Hunter Gaddis, who was pummeled his last outing allowing eight runs on eight hits in only three innings against the Yankees on Tuesday. Gaddis has an 8.53 ERA on the season with a .275 opponent batting average. The Guardians have lost five of their past nine games, including 7-6 on Sunday when Jose Meneses hit a go-ahead single in the eighth two batters after an overturned call at the plate and three Cleveland relievers allowed four runs in two innings.
