Cincinnati at San Francisco

I had the total go my way on Cincinnati's finale in Arizona three days ago, and the offense has gone cold since. San Francisco blanked the Reds 5-0 behind Carson Whisenhunt on Monday and held them to a single run behind Adrian Houser on Tuesday, Cincinnati's fourth loss in five games. Neither of those arms is walking out to the mound this afternoon. Landen Roupp takes a five-start losing streak into this one, allowing at least three earned runs in four of those outings while his ERA has climbed to 4.34 and his WHIP sits at 1.31. Nick Lodolo has been up and down since coming off the injured list, striking out 17 over his last five starts even as the results haven't followed, and Cincinnati still carries the better record into this series, 62-71 against San Francisco's 54-78. The board has this priced like a coin flip anyway, and a number that tight between two teams with an eight-win gap in the standings is one worth attacking. The smaller share of the ticket count is carrying the bigger share of the money on Cincinnati today. Cincinnati wins on the runline this afternoon.
