Cincinnati at San Diego

The San Diego Padres play a ton of 1-run games. It is because of their lightweight offense, but solid pitching. That was the story last night when Jesse Hahn out-dueled Mat Latos in a 1-0 San Diego win. San Diego's pitching has been superb over their last dozen games, limiting opponents to 2 runs or fewer in eight of them, and at home they have a winning record in their last nine. Cincinnati has struggled against San Diego, and last night's loss marked the sixth time they have tasted defeat in the last eight games in this series. The Reds have had trouble winning anticipated low-scoring games, now at 2-6 in their last eight to a total of 6.5 or less. Kennedy has been a perfect 4-0 in his last four starts when facing an opponent that scored 2 or fewer runs in their previous game. Back San Diego in this one.
