Cincinnati has long since clinched in the NL Central, and now it is just time to get players some rest, and get the rotation set for the playoffs. The offense has lost some of its mojo in the process, as the Reds’ bats have produced just 11 runs in their last five games. Mike Leake will probably be the odd man out come playoffs time, as he has not had a good season at 8-9 with a 4.73 ERA on the season. The cold Reds’ bats are really going to be needed in this one. The Pirates are giving a look to Kyle McPherson in the rotation as he has had a productive season, mostly in the pen, with a 3.54 ERA. Leake has also struggled vs. the Pirates as the Reds’ are just 1-4 in his five starts against them. Play on Pittsburgh.
