Cincinnati at Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Pirates hung in the NL playoffs chase for a lot longer than anyone expected. They also have what has been their best option on the hill today in A.J Burnett. The Yankees outcast has had a stellar season in the NL for the Pirates, as he enters this contest with a 16-8 mark backed by a nifty 3.53 ERA, which is an even tidier 3.07 at home. Homer Bailey has not been very sharp in his last six outings for the Reds, resulting in a 2-4 mark for Cincinnati. The Reds are winding down the season in win one, lose one fashion as they set their rotation for the playoffs, and are not extending starters. The Pirates are now 10-3 when Burnett pitches on a regular four days of rest in his last 13. Play on Pittsburgh.
