Result:
LOSS

After reeling off eight straight wins, the Mets lost the first two to Baltimore before winning the third to avoid the sweep last night. So make it 9 of their last 11 for New York. Cincinnati on the other hand has lost eight of their last nine and three straight. What makes these constrasting streaks even more pronounced is that New York got most of their wins on the road while Cincinnati has been stumbling at home - all eight losses were at home. Now the Reds travel to New York where the Mets are 4-2 vs. Cincinnati recently. Arroyo goes for the Reds and he's pitched very well. Orlando Hernandex has done OK for himself of late giving up just 8 runs on 15 hits over his last 18 innings pitched. The Mets have done well in expected close games this season having gone 19-6 so far when the money line is +125 to -125. They are off a big 9-4 win here last night and they are 11-2 this season off a game in which they notched 9 or more runs. Cincy is scoring 3.7 per game and allowing 7.0 per game over their last seven while New York is scoring 7.4 and allowing 4.3. This is a momentum pick on the Mets.
