The Yankees pounded the White Sox by ten runs last night and come back to the mound tonight with Carlos Rodon, who has quietly settled into something reliable after a shaky return from elbow surgery. His last start was six innings, one run, and seven strikeouts against Cleveland. He's sitting at a 2.88 ERA through his first five starts of 2026, and hard contact against him has been limited. The White Sox counter with Anthony Kay, a 31-year-old who posted a 1.74 ERA in Japan and has translated some of that success to the States — 6-1 on the year — but the underlying numbers tell a different story. He's giving up hits and home runs at a rate that suggests the results won't hold, and the Yankees' lineup is exactly the wrong matchup for a pitcher running on borrowed luck. Plus money on the Yankees to win by two or more against a starter they should handle with a rested offense is a number worth pressing. New York is the play; lay the runline.
