The Athletics have won eight of 11 and will send Jeffrey Springs to the mound today. He is 3-0 with a 1.46 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP. Springs has struck out 20 in 24 2/3 innings and he has allowed just two runs on six hits his past three starts in 19 1/3 innings pitched. The bullpen gave up a run on three hits in 4 2/3 innings on Saturday. Chicago's relievers have a 5.60 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP this season.
