Gonzalez has led the Nats to a 46-21 mark in this spot, and when the line has been greater than -170 he has led them to an 11-2 record. The Cubs have difficulty mustering consecutive wins, which has left them at 21-44 in their last 65 when following a win. They have also not prospered behind the arm of Carlos Villanueva where they are 3-12 in their last 15. The Cubs cashed in for the season as they traded their top two pitchers for prospects to Oakland, and the team morale coming into this one is likely going to be at a season low. Play on Washington.
