Chicago looks for its first win of the season with Jordan Wicks on the mound and he made seven starts in his rookie 2023 season. Wicks' specialty is a a changeup that keeps hitters off-balance. Jon Gray will go for Texas and he is 2-2 with a 4.18 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in his career against the Cubs. Gray finished with a 9-8 record last season with a 4.12 ERA and went almost two months in the middle of the season without recording a win.
