Chicago at St. Louis

St. Louis has clinched a wild card spot and Jon Lester will start against the Cubs again after he allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings against them last Saturday. The Cardinals pulled out a 6-5 win though, but Lester has faced Chicago twice this season and given up nine runs (eight earned) on 16 hits in just 10 1/3 innings. Lester has a 4.62 ERA and .284 opponent batting average in what has been one of his worst years in the majors. Adrian Sampson has made four starts and gave up just two runs on three hits in six innings in that same game against St. Louis last Saturday. The Cardinals likely will rest some starters the last two games of the regular season. Play the Cubs.
