Chicago lost two of three at Dodger Stadium, but that's understandable, and the Cubs previously had won 10 in a row. San Diego has split its past four games, but it has allowed 32 runs in that span, including a 12-7 loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday. The Padres are home following an eight-game trip and will start Randy Vasquez, who is off to a good start in 2026, but he has actually pitched better on the road. Vasquez has allowed five runs on 14 hits in 15 2/3 innings at home. The Cubs will counter with Matthew Boyd, who has given up four runs in 10 1/3 innings in his past two outings, and Chicago won both. San Diego's bullpen surrendered 10 runs on 12 hits in two innings yesterday. Take the Cubs.
