Chicago at Minnesota

The road trip continues for the Cubbies, as this is the third game of a five-game trip. They've lost two of the last three and Chicago batters struck out 13 times in a 4-3 defeat at Cleveland yesterday. The Cubs are 16-36 in interleague road games vs. a team with a winning record. Chicago has a weak offense at #16 in runs scored, and starter Kyle Hendricks has a 4.05 ERA on the road. Hendricks is 0-1 with a 7.04 ERA in two career interleague starts. Minnesota is home and the Twins are on a 10-4 run at home against a team with a winning road record. Starter Phil Hughes allowed three runs through six innings against the Rangers Sunday, striking out three and walking one in a 4-3 win. The Twins are 16-5 when Hughes starts vs. a team with a winning record and the Cubs have never faced him. The Cubbies are 2-7 against the Twins, including 1-5 in the last six meetings in Minnesota.
