The biggest problem for the Cubs is their 25-8 record behind Jake Arrieta, and 17-1 since the start of July. This team has been rather ordinary when Arrieta does not get the ball. The odds certainly are reflective of the Cubs body of work as a whole, and when you subtract out what Arrieta has done the resume is certainly not reflective of the substantial odds.
