Chicago at Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Dodgers were in on many rumors to secure a top-of-the-rotation starting pitcher at the trade deadline, or at the very least a middle-rotation type starter, but they came away empty. They have a great rotation, but the weakest link has been Dan Haren. Haren has a disappointing 8-8 record, but has actually pitched worse than the record with a 4.49 ERA. Haren has now gone eight days without taking the mound, as he struggled through a winless July at 0-4 with a 9.47 ERA. He will be opposed by Kyle Hendricks, making his fourth career start, and it looks like the Cubs have a good one as his ERA is 2.33 on the season.
