Chicago at Cincinnati

Chicago is coming on strong at the right time, winning seven of its last eight games, including a just-completed three-game sweep of the Pirates. The Cubs clinched a playoff berth with their 8-4 victory on Wednesday when Ian Happ homered and drove in three runs. Nico Hoerner had two hits and scored three times for the Cubs, who have won their past five road games. Cincinnati has lost four of its last six games at the worst time, as the Reds cannot afford many more losses if they want to secure a wild-card spot. They come off a 6-2 win over St. Louis, keeping them two games behind in the playoff race. Hunter Greene gave up five runs in 2 1/3 innings in Cincinnati's 11-5 loss to the Athletics on Saturday. The Reds are 9-1-1 OVER in Greene's past 11 Thursday starts. Chicago has gone OVER in Colin Rea's past four starts, although he allowed three or fewer runs in three of them.
