WIN

Aaron Harang was forced to leave in the first inning of last night's game for the Reds, which means the bullpen was depleted. That spells trouble as the Reds starter Matt Belisle, has not made it through the 5th inning in his last two starts, and carries a 6.41 ERA in his last 13 starts. The Reds are just 3-10 in those 13 starts, despite the fact they have averaged five runs a game for him. The Cubs have made a huge turnaround having gone 32-17 over their last 49 games, and one of the biggest reasons has been the pitching of Carlos Zambrano. Zambrano has not allowed more than five hits in any of his past 10 starts, and has pitched to a 1.57 ERA. He is now the NL leader in wins, and we look for him to log his 14th today.
