Boston at Seattle

The Seattle Mariners should get a lift having broke through in their series vs. Boston last night, winning in extra frames. Boston had gotten some good mileage out of Felix Doubront until recently, as the lefty has struggled in each of his last two starts where he has been ineffective and pitched to an ERA of 6.75. Seattle turns to Justin Vargas who has been effective at home pitching to an ERA of 3.12. Vargas is off a career tying ten strikeout performance in his last outing. Boston has struggled in the closeout games of long four game series, where they are 1-6 in their last seven, while the M's have cashed four of their last five at home vs. a winning team.
