Boston at San Diego

Jarred Cosart was acquired by San Diego from Miami at the trade deadline. He was coming off three good starts before losing at Atlanta on Thursday where he developed a blister on his hand. In his three previous outings, Cosart had given up only four runs in 16 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts and no home runs allowed, along with a 2.88 ERA in August. Boston won last night's game 5-1, but the Red Sox have lost 10 of their last 13 in the third game of a series, including four of David Price's last five starts in that situation. The Red Sox are playing their sixth road game in a row and they have scored a total of six runs their last three contests. This is a good spot for the home underdog, so take the Padres as a big home dog.
