The Oakland A's have surprised a lot of people by playing .500 baseball. A closer look shows why. The A's are 23-10 vs teams under .500, but just 22-36 vs teams .500 and above. They are going to fade as their second half shows them with 51 games vs winning teams and only 20 against losers. The A's are just 3-12 in their last 15 vs a team with a winning record, just 5-16 at home behind Braden and just 1-10 in his last 11 starts. Boston is tops in the league vs lefthand starters scoring 5.8 runs a game. I'll go with Boston in this one.
