New York got a huge win in Game 2 to tie the series at one game apiece, and it has Luis Severino on the mound tonight. He is 10-2 at home with a 2.74 ERA this season. Severino got a big confidence boost by pitching four scoreless innings on two hits against Oakland in the Wild Card game, and he now has allowed a total of four runs his last four starts in 21 2/3 innings. Severino has been decent against Boston with a 3.56 ERA in five starts against them this season. Nathan Eovaldi gets the call for the Red Sox, due to Rick Porcello having to pitch two-thirds of an inning on Friday. Eovaldi is 6-7 with a 3.81 ERA overall, and he is just 2-6 with a 5.11 ERA in night games this year.
