Boston at Los Angeles

Boston is riding real heat into this finale, having taken both games so far this weekend, 9-4 and then a 3-2 nail-biter Saturday that pushed the Red Sox to four straight wins overall. Jake Bennett has been the story of their rotation lately, a rookie left-hander who hasn't allowed more than three runs in eight consecutive starts, and he draws Emmet Sheehan, whose 4.95 ERA is the softest number on either roster today. None of that changes what I like about the Dodgers here. Los Angeles carries the deepest lineup in the sport into this series, an offense outscoring Boston by close to a full run a game across the season, and Dave Roberts' club is 33-22 at Dodger Stadium. Sheehan still misses bats when the stuff is working, with 104 strikeouts in under 93 innings, and a team that's dropped two straight at home has every reason to find its floor before this series turns into a sweep. Los Angeles is the right side to get right this afternoon.
