Kansas City snapped a six-game losing streak on Friday with a 5-3 victory over the Red Sox as Adalberto Mondesi put the Royals ahead to stay with a three-run homer in the third. Boston hitters have 22 at-bats against Brad Keller and have managed only four hits with no homers. Martin Perez got knocked out in the second inning after allowing five runs on six hits against Toronto on Sunday and that was after he gave up six runs in two innings against Houston on June 8. Opposing hitters are batting .273 versus Perez and that's a high number these days as the league batting average is around .238.
