The Houston Astros abused Chris Sale in the opener yesterday, banging out a total of eight extra base hits against him. That is an uplifting win by the Astros, and it has to be very deflating for the Red Sox to see their ace get banged around. Boston has to come back today and try to be emotionally ready to take on the hot-hitting Astros. Dallas Keuchel gets the ball for Houston, and he was 15-0 in this park last year, and has great career numbers at home. Pomeranz has decent numbers against Houston, with a 2-2 record and 3.69 ERA. The Astros may have seen the unveiling of a postseason star in Jose Altuve, who blasted three HRs to lead the Houston attack. Altuve may be diminutive in stature, but he is carrying the label of an MVP caliber season into the playoffs. Houston has the mental and emotional edge here, and the Red Sox have now dropped four straight playoff games. Play Houston on the runline.
