Boston at Houston

Ranger Suarez will make his first appearance with Boston after spending eight seasons with the Phillies. He was 12-8 with a 3.20 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP in 2025. He pitched well in his first two months of last season, going 7-2 while allowing 16 earned runs in 71 innings. Suarez had one appearance against the Astros and gave up a run on four hits in 7 2/3 innings. The Red Sox have gone UNDER nine of their past 10 games and six of seven on the road dating to last year. Houston is 5-12 in its past 17 March games, but it enters with a two-game win streak after losing the first two of a four-game series against the Angels. Lance McCullers Jr. comes off an injury-filled season and finished with a 6.51 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP. This is the first time in five years he has been healthy to start a season.
