Boston at Houston

Yordan Alvarez hit a walk-off RBI single in the 10th to give Houston a 3-2 win and give the Astros their third win in four games against the Mariners on Sunday. The Astros rebounded from a three-game sweep by Oakland earlier in the week and they now are 33-15 at home this season. Boston defeated Milwaukee 7-2, but the Red Sox still have lost 17 of their past 23 games and they are facing the team that won in six games against them in last year's ALCS. Houston has won six of Luis Garcia's past seven starts and Nathan Eovaldi has been a disaster his last two outings allowing 14 runs (13 earned) on 17 hits in 8 2/3 innings. Eovaldi was the starter when the Red Sox lost 28-5 to Toronto on July 22. Also, Eovaldi faced the Astros once this year and was pummeled for nine runs and five homers in less than two innings.
