Boston at Detroit

The Detroit Tigers recovered in a key game four against the Red Sox, to even the series at two games apiece. Game five becomes a must win, or they go back to Boston down 3-2. Boston is dealing with slumping bats that have scored 10 runs in the four games to this point. Considering that four of those came on one swing, they have otherwise produced just 6. Detroit put up a 7-spot in game four, and seem to be swinging the bats much better. Jon Lester has been sensational at home this season, but the road has been a different story where Boston is just 4-10 in his last 14 road starts. Detroit has had a great deal of recent success vs. left-handed pitching where they are 7-0 in their last seven facing a southpaw. Detroit is now 57-25 in their last 82 to a total of 7 to 8.5.
