Boston at Cincinnati

Boston won't make the playoffs, but it still would like to finish over .500 and out of last place in the tough AL East. The Red Sox beat the Reds 5-3 last night with both teams scoring two runs in the ninth and Cincinnati now has lost 10 of its past 12 games while scoring only 26 runs over that span. Boston will start Connor Seabold and it will be his first appearance in the majors since July 8. The right-hander had a 3.32 ERA, 1.13 WHIP with 89 strikeouts in 86 2/3 innings at Triple-A this year. Chase Anderson has a 6.43 ERA for the Reds allowing 10 earned runs in 14 innings. Boston is 46-14 its past 60 interleague road games and 52-22 overall in interleague games against teams with losing records. Cincinnati has lost its last five home games. Play the Red Sox.
