The Nationals are going for the sweep of the Orioles. They have reached .500 while Baltimore is 20-26 with an 8-14 road record. Washington also has defeated Baltimore in nine of the past 10 meetings. Yet the Nationals find themselves home underdogs. It is understandable that the oddsmaker is not in love with Washington starting pitcher Miles Mikolas, who has a 7.00 ERA and 1.53 ratio. However, Mikolas has held opponents to three runs or fewer in seven straight appearances. Baltimore is not exactly pitching a stud either. Brandon Young has a 4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and gives up 1.4 home runs and 3.8 walks per nine innings. The Nationals are the far better offensive team. They lead the majors in runs per game at 5.4 and are in the top seven in homers and OPS. The Orioles are 17th in runs, 24th in batting average and 21st in OPS. They have scored three or fewer runs in eight of their last nine games. Take the Nationals.
