Baltimore at Miami

Baltimore is last in the majors in run differential on the road and is now making a long journey to Miami to play the Marlins after losing 12-1 to the Yankees in New York last night. That was the Orioles' fifth straight loss. They have been outscored, 50-15, during this losing skid. Baltimore is at a season-worst five games under .500. The Marlins will have Sandy Alcantara going. He is not the elite pitcher he once was, but he is a major upgrade on Baltimore starter, 37-year-old Chris Bassitt. Alcantara is 3-2 with a 3.04 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Bassitt is 2-2 with a 5.46 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. He has only 17 strikeouts in 28 innings. The Marlins have allowed two or fewer runs in four of their last six games. They rank ninth in batting average and are third in steals. The Orioles are 22nd in batting average and 24th in steals. Take the Marlins.
