Kyle Bradish is on the comeback trail for the Orioles following Tommy John elbow surgery that wiped out most of his 2024 and 2025 seasons. Early returns have not been positive. Bradish is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA and 1.62 WHIP. White Sox starter Sean Burke has been more consistent with a 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in 10 innings to begin the season. Both teams made huge off-season splashes at first base. The Orioles signed Pete Alonzo. The White Sox acquired Japanese star Munetaka Murakami. So far, Murakami has outshone Alonso with four homers and seven RBI. Alonzo is batting .186 with only one homer and three RBIs. The White Sox showed improvement last season, and there is optimism they will be even better this season. The Orioles were 75-87 last year, and so far this season, they have a losing record.
