Baltimore at Boston

Baltimore had a surprisingly good first week but has come back to earth since playing the kind of bad baseball that made them a 115-loss team last year. The Orioles have lost seven of eight while getting outscored 69-36. They turn to David Hess to end the slide, but he went 0-2 with an 11.25 ERA against Boston last year. The Orioles are on a 25-77 run on the road, 13-38 against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30, plus 6-21 versus the Red Sox. Boston is loaded with talent and star power, turning a corner by winning two of three after a 7-6 victory over Toronto. The Red Sox play their third straight home game on a 38-15 run at Fenway.
