Atlanta at San Diego

The San Diego Padres have been an improving team. They are certainly a pesky team to face when they are at home, where they have now gotten even at 32-32 on the season. They are on fire as winners of eight in a row, and had another August streak of winning seven out of eight. This is a team that has outscored opponents 43-16 in the eight straight wins, and shut out this Atlanta team last night. This has all been done vs. winning teams. The Braves have not played well of late at just 3-7 in their last 10, and have now dropped four straight as a favorite. When facing lefties, the Braves get only 4.1 runs per game which is one reason they are 50-30 vs. RHP but just 23-26 vs. southpaws. The Padres have been ultra-dangerous as a dog from +110 to +150 where they are 16-5 in their last 21. Play on San Diego as my underdog Game of the Month.
