1.5 units on New York -203 (moneyline) (risk 1.5 to return 2.24) RESULT: LOSS
The NY Mets have pretty much closed the door on the Washington Nationals, and it is now a mere formality to clinch. The Mets have gotten amazing work from the ageless Bartolo Colon, now at 42-years-old. Colon pitched reasonably well in his last start that saw a four decision winning streak end. If you think he has hit the wall, guess again, as his previous seven starts show 4-0 with a 2.13 ERA, and that includes a 31 inning scoreless streak. Colon is looking for his 15th win of the season - far exceeding anyone's expectations. The Braves have pretty much folded up the teepee on the road where they are a woeful 13-40 in their last 53. Take the home team Mets in this one.
