The Atlanta Braves' entry to the postseason certainly looks to be through the ranks of a Wild Card team. They trail Washington by 7.5 games in the NL East. However, Atlanta is just a half game out of the second Wild Card spot. Alex Wood has been victimized by the shortcomings in the consistency, or lack thereof, of the Braves' attack, as he has pitched to a 9-9 record, despite an above average ERA of 3.05. Dillon Gee has had the Braves' number as he allowed 1 run in 7 innings of work in his lone start against them this season, and in 13 career starts he owns a 2.80 ERA against the Braves. The Braves have been brutal of late vs. right-handed pitching where they are just 2-9 in their last 11 against them. The Mets own an 8-3 record at home when facing a team with a losing road record, and have taken four of their last five here vs. the Braves behind Gee. Back the Mets.
